Exciting News from the White House
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is thrilled to share that she is expecting a baby.
In a recent social media update, Ms. Leavitt revealed that she will welcome a baby girl in May. She and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, already have one son, Niko, who was born in July 2024.
“The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for — a baby girl coming in May 2026,” expressed Ms. Leavitt, 28. She added, “My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.”
Ms. Leavitt holds the distinction of being the youngest individual to serve as White House press secretary, having been appointed by President Trump at the age of 27 in 2024.
“I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and our Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their support and for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House. 2026 is going to be a great year and I am so excited to be a girl mom!” she stated.
Ms. Leavitt has previously brought her son to work with her, including during the Thanksgiving turkey pardon event at the White House.
Before her current role in the press briefing room, she served as national press secretary for Mr. Trump’s 2024 campaign.
The couple met in 2022 while Ms. Leavitt was running her congressional campaign in New Hampshire.
