Charges Filed Against Natalie Greene

A former aide to New Jersey Republican Representative Jeff Van Drew, Natalie Greene, has been charged with orchestrating her own violent attack.

The 26-year-old made her first court appearance on Wednesday, facing charges of conspiracy and providing false statements to law enforcement.

On July 23, a co-conspirator contacted emergency services, alleging that she and Greene had been assaulted while walking in a nature preserve located in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The caller claimed that the assailants were aware of Greene’s identity and her association with Van Drew’s office.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Greene in distress, with visible injuries including cuts on her face and chest. She was found with her hands and feet bound by zip ties. During the incident, she alleged that one of the male attackers threatened to shoot her.

In a disturbing twist, phrases such as “TRUMP WHORE” were inscribed on her stomach and “IS RACIST” on her back, targeting Representative Van Drew.

The Justice Department’s investigation uncovered that Greene had paid $500 to a body modification artist for the injuries prior to the reported attack. Additionally, investigators discovered zip ties in her vehicle that matched those used during the incident. A search of her co-conspirator’s phone revealed inquiries about purchasing zip ties.

The office of Representative Van Drew expressed their sorrow over the situation: “We are deeply saddened by today’s news. Although Natalie is no longer affiliated with the Congressman’s government office, our thoughts and prayers are with her. We hope she’s receiving the care she needs.”

Greene has been released on a $200,000 bond. If convicted on both counts, she could face up to ten years in prison.
