Incident at Alina Habba’s Office

The Department of Justice announced on Thursday that it is actively searching for a suspect involved in an aggressive confrontation with federal prosecutor Alina Habba at her Newark, New Jersey office the previous day.

Attorney General Pam Bondi reported that an individual attempted to confront Ms. Habba and caused damage to property during the incident on Wednesday evening.

“Any violence or threats of violence against any federal officer will not be tolerated. Period,” Ms. Bondi stated on X. She expressed concern over a growing trend of attacks against law enforcement officials nationwide.

Ms. Habba, who has been a staunch supporter of President Trump and briefly served as acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, was unharmed during the altercation. She declared, “I will not be intimidated by radical lunatics for doing my job.”

Justice Department officials revealed that the suspect initially attempted to enter the building wielding a baseball bat but was denied entry by security personnel. He later returned without the bat and gained access to the office.

The man proceeded to Ms. Habba’s floor, where he began yelling and smashing items before fleeing the scene prior to being apprehended.

“We will find this person, and he will be brought to justice,” Ms. Bondi assured. “Our federal prosecutors, agents, and law enforcement partners risk their lives daily to protect Americans, and this Department will utilize every legal means necessary to ensure their safety and hold violent offenders accountable.”
