New Children’s Book by Justice Gorsuch

Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch is set to publish a children’s book titled Heroes of 1776, which will highlight the courageous actions of young individuals who played a role in securing America’s Independence.

The book, co-authored by Justice Gorsuch and his former clerk Janie Nitze, is being published by HarperCollins and is expected to be available for purchase in May.

Heroes of 1776 features not only well-known figures like Thomas Jefferson and George Washington but also everyday people who made significant contributions to the nation’s history. One story recounts the bravery of an 18-year-old spy who evaded British troops to deliver a crucial message to revolutionaries.

The book also tells the tale of a man battling cancer who rode 80 miles overnight to cast a decisive vote on the Declaration of Independence. In an interview on Fox News’ Fox & Friends, Justice Gorsuch expressed his desire to inspire young readers, stating, “There are so many ordinary people who did extraordinary things.” He hopes these stories will encourage youth to emulate such courage and sacrifice.
