Joe Rogan questions Trump’s actions
Joe Rogan, a well-known podcaster, has expressed his disbelief over President Trump’s recent choice to display plaques in the White House that criticize former leaders. He also noted the replacement of former President Joseph R. Biden’s portrait with an autopen and commented on Hollywood director Rob Reiner’s murder being linked to anti-Trump sentiments.
During a Christmas episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, he described Trump’s actions as “crazy,” using the term nearly 20 times within nine minutes.
While Rogan endorsed Trump for the upcoming 2024 election, he has become increasingly critical during the president’s second term. His latest remarks were prompted by comedian Shane Gillis, who inquired about the plaques displayed under photos of past presidents.
Although Rogan had heard about the plaques, he had not seen them until they pulled up screenshots during the podcast. Upon reading descriptions of former President Bill Clinton, he questioned their authenticity: “Who’s writing these things? He’s not writing them.” However, when they examined Biden’s plaque, his tone shifted dramatically.
“Sleepy Joe Biden? It says that?” Rogan exclaimed. “Oh my God, he is writing it. This is so crazy. That this is underneath a photo in the White House is so crazy.” The plaque referred to Biden as both ‘Sleepy’ and ‘Crooked.’
Laughing, Rogan remarked on how absurd it was for such language to appear in an official capacity: “By you!” He suggested that historians should be responsible for writing such plaques instead of politicians.
He read aloud from Biden’s plaque: “Despite all, President Trump would get reelected in a landslide and save America”—a statement that left him incredulous.
The discussion then turned towards potential ramifications if such practices continued. Rogan warned that it could pave the way for similar behavior from future leaders on either side of the political spectrum.
The pair also discussed Trump’s social media post regarding Reiner, where Trump attributed Reiner’s death to what he termed ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome.’ Rogan reiterated his disbelief at these developments throughout their conversation.
The son of Reiner faces murder charges related to his parents’ deaths amid ongoing struggles with addiction and mental health issues. Reflecting on this tragedy, Rogan emphasized the lack of empathy surrounding such events and criticized how society often reacts without compassion.
