President’s Call for Bipartisanship

During this year’s Congressional Ball, President Trump made a heartfelt appeal for unity, urging both Republicans and Democrats to set aside their political differences for the evening.

“I want to thank all of the great people in the room, both Democrat and Republican who worked so hard on behalf of our great nation,” Mr. Trump expressed.

He emphasized, “So tonight, we’re going to set aside all political differences. We’re not going to criticize each other; we’re going to love each other. We’re going to come together, not as Democrats and Republicans, but as fellow Americans, to give thanks for this nation, which is indeed so great.”

The president acknowledged the significant attendance of Democrats at the event, stating, “I think it’s a tremendous tribute that so many Democrats have joined us tonight at a high level.”

In his remarks, he thanked party leaders and Cabinet members while reflecting on his administration’s achievements since taking office in January.

“We’ve solved eight wars; that’s never happened before. More Americans are working today than ever before in our country’s history,” he noted.

Mr. Trump commended Congress members from both parties for their hard work this year in fulfilling campaign promises and delivering significant victories for the American people.

The president did suggest that Democrats might reconsider certain policies such as participation of men in women’s sports and open borders.

“But other than that, I like what you’re doing. You passed the largest tax cuts in American history. We all did that,” he remarked.

As he concluded his speech, Mr. Trump stated, “We love the Republicans and we love the Democrats and we love everybody else,” humorously adding that he would have to “deny” making such statements come tomorrow.
