Nancy Mace speaks out against TSA surveillance
Representative Nancy Mace has voiced strong criticism of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) after learning that she has been under constant observation by the agency.
Mace revealed that both current and former airport staff informed her about the TSA’s surveillance activities, urging more whistleblowers to step forward. She stated, “This appears to be yet another example of the weaponization of government agencies against a conservative,” adding that if true, it signifies a serious abuse of power and political retaliation. No American — especially a sitting Member of Congress — should endure such targeted harassment.”
The South Carolina Republican claimed she faced surveillance each time she visited Charleston International Airport, with TSA agents allegedly attempting to prevent her from using the crew-only entrance, which she argued is standard for all congressional members.
Last month, Mace reportedly confronted police and TSA personnel at a security checkpoint in Charleston. She expressed her outrage on social media, stating, “If this turns out to be the weaponization of government officials and law enforcement agents against a sitting member of Congress — HEADS NEED TO ROLL!!!”
Mace has faced accusations regarding her behavior, including alleged outbursts directed at constituents and law enforcement officers, which she claims are unfounded. Regarding the surveillance issue, she encouraged current or former TSA employees and airport personnel to provide information for further investigation. She plans to refer any findings to federal and state oversight committees.
Nancy Mace is also campaigning for governor of South Carolina in the upcoming 2026 primary election. Other Republican candidates include Attorney General Alan Wilson, State Senator Josh Kimbrell from Spartanburg County, Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette, and U.S. Representative Ralph Norman. In her campaign messages on social media, she declared: “When I’m Governor, the era of good old boy politics will be over. The POWERFUL will become the POWERLESS…”
